BY VIEWING YOU HAVE GROWN
Original work by Sean Alton
The view when first installed in 2005
Ten years ago while attempting to weld a flower together, I realized it could be cut out and folded.
This is a single piece of copper, worked into a free standing flower and enameled.
By eliminating the welding, I was able to achieve a uniform layer of enamel without the possibility of coefficiency issues from the welds and have a more refined line.
The only one executing this Copper Enamel Sculpture direction in the United States -- possibly the world.
A little disturbance in the space time continuum
A revisit to a great enamel project
After a windstorm, I did some repairs to replace seven tiles and reseat 32 others. The weather can be brutal, but with a new adhesive that can take the weather, all is well.
